If Things Seem to Freeze: Sometimes your browser might need a little TLC. Here’s how to clear out the cobwebs and get things back to awesome:
For Chrome:
- Delete All Your Data: Go to the Chrome menu (three dots up top), pick “Tools,” then “Clear browsing data.” Choose “beginning of time” to clear it all. Click “Clear browsing data” and you’re golden.
- Adjust Cookie and Site Data: Click the Chrome menu, choose “Settings,” then “Show advanced settings.” In the “Privacy” section, click “Content settings” and then manage cookies as you like.
For Safari:
- Empty the Cache: Open Safari, go to “Safari” > “Empty Cache,” and hit “Empty.”
- Delete Cookies: Open Safari, choose “Preferences,” then “Privacy.” Click “Details,” and remove cookies from the websites you don’t want.
For Internet Explorer:
- Clear Cache: Click the gear icon (Tools), go to “Safety,” and select “Delete browsing history.” Uncheck everything except “Temporary Internet files and website files,” then click “Delete.”
- Delete Cookies: Open Internet Explorer, go to “Settings,” then “Options.” Under “History,” choose “Select” and check “Cookies,” then “Delete.”
For Firefox:
- Clear Cache: Click the menu button (three horizontal lines), choose “Options,” then “Privacy.” Under “History,” click “Clear your recent history,” set the time range to “Everything,” and clear the cache.
- Delete Cookies: Go to “Preferences,” select “Privacy,” and manage cookies from the “Show Cookies” option.
