Merchant Support: How to Redeem Clipp Deals and Apply Dollar-Off Discounts in Revel POS

If your business uses Revel POS, redeeming Clipp certificates is quick and easy. Follow the steps below to create a preset discount in Revel and ensure Clipp offers are properly tracked and honored.

🛠️ Set Up a Preset Clipp Discount in Revel

To speed things up at checkout, we recommend creating a reusable discount for Clipp deals:

1. Log in to the Revel Management Console.
2. Go to Products → Discounts.
3. Click Add Discount.
4. Configure:
   1. Name: Clipp $30 Off
   2. Discount Type: Amount
   3. Amount: 30
   4. Applies To: Order (or Item, based on your policy)
   5. Label: CLIPP
   6. Visibility: Make sure it is visible on POS
5. Save. Repeat for other values you accept.

Your team can now select this preset discount anytime a customer uses a Clipp certificate.

📱 Redeem the Offer in Clipp

When a customer presents a Clipp.com certificate (printed or on their phone), staff should:

1. Scan the QR Code
   Use any phone or tablet to scan the QR code on the certificate.
   💡 Pro Tip: Bookmark Clipp.com on a device at your host stand, counter, or POS station for easy access.

2. Enter the Pre-Discount Total
   Type in the total amount from the check before applying the discount.
   Example: If the customer’s bill is $92.50, enter 92.50 into the “Check Amount” field.
   This helps track how much revenue is generated from your Clipp campaign.

3. Tap “Mark as Redeemed”
   Once marked, the certificate is closed and cannot be used again.

📌 Helpful Tips

• One Certificate per Visit: Unless noted, only one Clipp certificate can be used per table or transaction.

• No Cash Back: Customers must use the full promotional value; no refunds or change should be given.
